John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music inspired millions of people. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Germandorf at Roswell near New Mexico, was in Love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame, said: "I don't believe there any other performer who embodies Colorado as John Denver." Denver was the very first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver is today the face of Colorado on the world stage. Certainly in my travels you meet someone from the other side of the world one from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the first thing that comes out of their mouths is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief stint with folk bands, was Denver's debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff had written the song inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear an early version and knew it was going to be one of the Top 10 hits. After performing the song in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver made a recording a few days from now.
